Lena L. West is the CEO & Chief Strategist at xynoMedia Technology. Affectionately known as the “geek with speak”, Lena understands complex technology concepts and distills them into easy-to-implement strategies. xynoMedia Technology helps growing companies figure out their place in the social media landscape and effectively navigate the new world of blogs, podcasting and online communities to shorten sales cycles, refine product development and increase word of mouth. West communicates her expertise about social media, web 2.0 and online technologies through public speaking, her Entrepreneur.com column and blog as well as regular writing for Jupitermedia and InfoWorld.com. She is also on the Center for Women’s Business Research Advisory Council and the Chair of their Social Media executive Committee, the BlogHer Business Advisory Board, and a member of the Women’s Presidents’ Organization, TENG-NY and the Downtown Women's Club. West strongly believes that social media is a catalyst to uniting the human race. It will continue to lead people and businesses toward environmental and social responsibility along with increasing levels of transparency - hence her passion for the medium. Currently, West is conducting research for a book she’s authoring about how social media can be effectively leveraged by high-growth businesses. xynoMedia’s mission is to make social media generate results for 100,000 high-growth businesses by 2010.
