- Edward G. Rogoff is a Professor in the Department of Management of the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College, The City University of New York located in New York City. He received a B.A., M.B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. from Columbia University, where he wrote his dissertation under the supervision of Nobel Laureate William Vickery.
He founded and was CEO of two media companies that owned 23 radio stations throughout the United States. Dr. Rogoff serves as the Academic Director of the Lawrence N. Field Center for Entrepreneurship at Baruch College. Dr. Rogoff teaches and conducts research in entrepreneurship, particularly relative to education, technology and regulation. The second edition of his book Bankable Business Plans was just published. Jeff Bezos, the Founder and CEO of Amazon.com wrote the foreward to Bankable Business Plans. Along with Michael Corbett he wrote The Entrepreneurial Conversation which was published in 2006.
He has published in such journals as The Journal of Business and Entrepreneurship, The Journal of Developmental Entrepreneurship, Family Business Review, and Journal of Small Business Management. Dr. Rogoff was a 2003 Guest Co-Editor of the Journal of Business Venturing. He has written articles for the New York Times, Forbes, and Newsday, as well as a being a frequent guest on CNN and CNNfn.
He has taught the full spectrum of entrepreneurship courses at the graduate and undergraduate level and been awarded for excellence in teaching.
Dr. Rogoff has consulted to a variety of businesses including venture capital firms, numerous entrepreneurs in virtually every industry, private education companies, urban transportation companies, governments, communications companies, and technology firms.
